Son Serra de la Marina
is a
small village on the Bay of Alcudia and in recent years has grown in
popularity with the Spanish. It has escaped mass tourism and there are
no hotels. It is a favourite destination for the Majorcans from all
over the island to escape to on the weekends and enjoy Sunday lunch at
the many excellent beach restaurants.
There is a small supermarket, chemist etc., the nearest towns are Arta
to the east and C'an Picafort only 7 km in the opposite direction.
Son Serra de la Marina has a white sandy beach which never is busy.
There are two beaches the first is just under half a kilometre long and
130m wide. The second is known as the Grande plage and is much larger.
Beyond this beach there are sand dunes and a naturists' section.
Please note the house has been re-painted and is now brown not white.
