The municipality
of Alcudia is surrounded
by more than 30 km coastline with some of the
most beautiful beaches
of the Mediterranean. The
old part of Alcudia is nearly completely surrounded by its historical wall and is the
oldest city on the island. There are the
Roman ruins from
the time where Alcudia was called Pollentia, the first capital of Mallorca.
You even find the old amphitheatre. The two weekly local markets,
which are distributed
over the marketplace
and through the old streets
take place every
Tuesday and Sunday, also out of season. An interesting excursion takes you to the Sa Talaia and Cabo Pinar.
In Alcudia there is also the 18 - hole golf course of Alcanada and the dive centre in Bonaire. You find as well
bike rental, tennis
courts and all water
sport activities. In the
largest of the two marinas of the municipality, there is a
boat rental.
