Sa Pobla is a small town (pop 12000),
famous for its strawberries and potatoes, it is approximately 10 km
from the beautiful beach of Playa de Muro. Unlike its near neighbours
Alcudia and Pollensa, Sa Pobla remains relatively free from the mass
tourism that has hit many parts of the island. There is a local market
every Sunday in the main square, and during the summer months there are
jazz concerts, brass bands and dancing in the square. The town is
mainly pedestrianized.
